MAKING THE BEST OF INDOOR RECESS!

We are spending as much time outside as possible in this beautiful spring weather, but when rain comes like it did yesterday, these firsties knew how to make the best of indoor recess.

So, what will the next few weeks look like?  There will be a lot of smiles, laughter and a real sense of accomplishment as we remember our year together. Thank you for the conversations you are having with your firstie about his/her reflections and memories.

And, the question of the day: What's Happening Outside?

We visited the area around "Our Tree" this afternoon looking for the answer to this question. We observed the area focusing on three areas: Above the Ground; On the Ground; and Under the Ground.

And, this is what we found!

And, we had a little bit of time left before we headed inside....so, RELAY RACES!

Thanks to David and Noah's moms for coming to explore and play!

Caine’s Arcade will be the inspiration for the last two weeks of school as these firsties use cardboard boxes, lots of tapes, and whatever else they come up with to build arcade games for Blue’s Arcade. We are collecting boxes that range in size from shoeboxes to copy paper boxes. We could use one or two washing machine/dryer box size if you happen to have one and could get it to the school.  Also, if you have trinkets or other small toys that you could donate for “prizes” that would be great. I will let you know next week when Blue’s Arcade will have its official opening!
